Xbalanque Resort, West Bay

My stay at Xbalanque was absolutely incredible! The ambiance was magical with Mayan-inspired design and the friendly team made us feel right at home. I cannot praise the snorkeling and diving enough, it was a highlight of our trip. However, dinner options could have been more varied. Overall, the experience was worth every penny, and the attention to detail was impressive.

This resort offers a modern and well-maintained environment with an exceptional staff that goes above and beyond to cater to guests' needs. The large rooms provide ample space and comfort, although the steep walk to the beach can be a bit bothersome on hot days. The dining experience was fantastic, with personalized service that made us feel truly valued. While the location is great for accessing both West Bay and West End, there's a surprise charge for minor requests that felt unnecessary.

However, the room location may vary, which could be a downside for some, and the absence of front desk service after a certain hour could be inconvenient.

Xbalanque is the perfect family getaway! The combination of spacious rooms with breathtaking sunset views and a dedicated team made our Christmas vacation unforgettable. While the cuisine at the restaurant was delightful, the airport pick-up stop charged us unexpectedly, which felt a bit off. Still, the amenities, like snorkeling gear and kayaks, made our stay fantastic and family-friendly.

We had an incredible week at the resort, enjoying the serene and private atmosphere, complemented by a ton of fun excursions. The spacious sun room with ocean views made our stay even more special. However, the dining menu could use some improvement, as options felt a bit limited at times.
